  6. This is a pointer animator for AmigaDos 3.0 or later (it might also work
  7. on OS 2.1, but I've only tried it under AGA), and >=68020 CPUs.  It
  8. supports standard IFF anim-brushes or op-5 animations, 16 colors sprites,
  9. ARexx, icon direct-drag-and-drop, a graphical user interface, and double
  10. buffering pointer images in FAST RAM to consume only a very small amount
  11. of CHIP RAM.
  12.  
  13. This is the first version of this utility, and there are some quirks to be
  14. worked out yet, especially since working with sprites is always a bit
  15. peculiar.  Also, this utility does not yet support the 32 or 64 pixel wide
  16. AGA sprites, but I hope to make it do so as soon as my 3.1 developer's kit
  17. comes.  For this version, however, you MUST set your system pointer prefs
  18. to lo-res.
  19.  
  20. This program tries to be system compliant, although it will not work on
  21. 3rd party graphics cards due to the dependence on the Amiga sprite engine.
  22.  
  23. A few hand-drawn 4 color animated pointers are included, and also some
  24. ray-traced (seriously!) 16 color animated pointers (but see the note in
  25. the documentation under "Common Problems" about amiga hardware limitations
  26. with 16 color sprites if they doesn't seem to work properly for you).
  27.  
  28. I am also soliciting contributions to the animated pointer collection.
